On the occasion of the Steel Dinner, the evening dedicated to exhibitors and partners of the Conference & Exhibition, the Made in Steel Awards were assigned to exhibitors who have distinguished themselves through the setting up and communication of their stand.

The jury of this edition, which assessed each exhibition space, was composed of: Peter Bottazzi, designer and arts Director of Made in Steel; Marco Citterio, council member of Made in Steel; Francesco Della Torre, head of the technical department of Made in Steel.

The categories awarded, as usual, were three: Best Communication Stand, for the company that was best able to take advantage of the stand design to transmit its message to the operators of the steel industry in an immediate and direct way; Most Friendly Stand, for the most welcoming stand; and lastly the Best International Stand, assigned to the stand with the most international flavour.

The awards chosen for the Made in Steel Awards 2019 were three precious works of art from the series called “Alberi” (which means “Trees”), made in iron, stoneware and gold dust signed by the famous sculptor Maria Cristina Carlini.

Best Communication Stand
"The roomy stand with its main square is a reminder of the old agoras concept, a place for meetings and lively discussions.  A well-lit space, which effectively makes visitors become familiar with the many corporate activities.” This is the reason why ArcelorMittal Italia was awarded the prize.
Clarex from Modena and Tresoldi Metalli from Pozzonovo (Padua) were among the nominees.

Most Friendly Stand
The sculpture by Maria Cristina Carlini was won by Aperam Stainless Services & Solutions Italy which, thanks to the use of colour and three-dimensionality, was able to welcome visitors into a "charming stand that with its soft and sleek lines and elaborate touches feels like your home sitting room".
The Vicenza-based AFV Acciaierie Beltrame and Acciaierie Venete from Padova were also nominated for the Best Friendly Stand category.

Best International Stand
Thanks to its “international designing approach and the unusual exhibiting area which was divided by a big diagonal partition that stands out from the traditional Italian trade show stands”, Liberty Steel won the Best International Stand award.
La Cisa Trasporti Industriali and Calvi Holding were also in the jury’s short list.
