Kardemir Celik Sanayi was established in Denizli in 1968 and started structural steel production with 1 production line in an area of ​​12,000 m2. In 1997, the Izmir Profile Factory with 40,000 m2 closed and 25,000 m2 open area started operating. Kardemir Celik Sanayi, which started operating in 2022, produces billet iron with FESCON system arc furnace and has a production capacity of 1,200,000 tons/year. The billet irons produced in the steel mill also provide raw materials to Kardemir's Profile and Construction Iron factories. Kardemir has a total of 4 separate rolling factories producing from billets. The Wire Rod and Construction Iron Production Facility, which started operating in 2023, has a production capacity of 600,000 tons/year. Kardemir produces profile iron in 3 separate facilities, Denizli Profile Factory and 2 İzmir Profile Factories in İzmir Aliağa. Profile facilities have a production capacity of 700,000 tons/year. More than 50% of its products are used in world markets through exports. According to 2023 data, Kardemir Çelik Sanayi is ranked 121st among Turkey's largest 1000 companies; 110th among Turkey's top 500 industrial establishments.
