Flero (Bs), May 14, 2025 - Made in Steel archives another edition of growth, the international Conference & Exhibition dedicated to the steel supply chain conceived and organized by siderweb - The steel community.
From May 6 to 8, in pavilions 22 and 24 at fieramilano Rho, the B2B event totaled 19,252 attendees, up from the previous edition in 2023 (+4.2%), from 81 countries. To these must be added the operators registered at Lamiera, who also expressed a willingness to visit Made in Steel (amounting to 5,985 attendees). In fact, the international exhibition promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE dedicated to the machine tool industry for sheet metal forming and cutting was held in partial conjunction with Made in Steel.
"Made in Steel is a hub of knowledge, relationship, comparison. Exhibition showcase, business and vision. The numbers confirm the importance of the biennial organized by siderweb," emphasizes Made in Steel and siderweb CEO Paolo Morandi. "It was an edition that marks a new beginning: now it is essential to develop the event along the supply chain and internationally, to become a great global platform, where the excellence of Italian and European steelmaking can be told.
THE NUMBERS - There were 387 companies present (+21%). Thirty-four percent came from abroad, a marked improvement over the previous edition (25.2%). There were 25 foreign countries represented: among them, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Germany, France, China, Great Britain, Belgium, and India.
The exhibition area also grew, from about 15 thousand to nearly 18 thousand square meters (+18.2%), a new all-time record for the international event. More than 50 buyers, both Italian and foreign, attended the three-day event, thanks to the collaboration with ICE - Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies.
The siderweb TV, the live streaming channel also activated for this edition of Made in Steel, broadcast more than 20 hours of live conferences from the siderweb Conference Room, interviews with the protagonists of the steel supply chain, in-depth reports and institutional videos of exhibitors. There were 5 thousand views on the YouTube channel of siderweb and Made in Steel. In the 3 days of the event alone, the Italian homepage of madeinsteel.it had 13,284 views and the English homepage 10,046; in total, the site had over 463 thousand views. Finally, the homepage of siderweb.com recorded 4,422 views during the three-day event.
Excellent performance of the event's social channels (Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin), which generated more than 213 thousand views in the three days of the event.
SUSTAINABILITY - Also for this edition, Made in Steel supported the annual RINA audit for the maintenance of the ISO 20121 certification obtained in 2023, with reference to the sustainable event design and management activities. In fact, the Conference & Exhibition was organized following the requirements of the standard demonstrating the ever-increasing commitment to the management of environmental, social and economic aspects, particularly the reduction of environmental impacts and the enhancement of social ones.
The 12th edition of Made in Steel will be held in 2027.
