Mediterranean Steel Talks is a siderweb project dedicated to analyzing the increasingly strategic role of the Mediterranean in the global steel industry. It is a series of video interviews conducted by Sarah Falsone, Market Analyst & Editor at siderweb, giving a voice to the leading international players active in the area, with the aim of describing the transformations under way and the future prospects of the sector.

The series opened with Tayfun İşeri, Director of International Business at Çolakoğlu Metalurji and President of the Turkish Flat Steel Producers and Exporters Association (YİSAD). During the interview, İşeri analyzes the company's role within the regional industrial context, focusing on the impact that new trade dynamics, sustainability policies and green investments are having on steel production and distribution.

With Mediterranean Steel Talks, siderweb set out to start an international dialogue to understand the changes under way and anticipate the future trajectories of Mediterranean steelmaking.
