Around 10 months from the opening of the seventh edition of Made in Steel, great expectations and optimism have emerged from the exhibitors. Many in fact have already confirmed their participation as exhibitors and almost 50% of the exhibiting space available in halls 22 and 24 of the fieramilano Exhibition Centre has already been booked.

Gianfranca Bellicini – President of Ferriere Bellicini Srl – considers Made in Steel to be «A fixed appointment that cannot be missed by those operating in the sector». For the next edition of the Conference & Exhibition, the Brescia based company active in the production of standard and customized flat, round and square merchant bars has decided to increase the size of their stand. «We realized that with the boom in the number of registered visitors at the last edition in 2015 we were a little too tight on our stand therefore, for this coming edition, we seized an opportunity to upgrade and increase the size of our stand». The 2015 edition brought the company excellent results and Ferriere Bellicini was able to make some very important business alliances and projects for the development of new products are underway. «Our investment has surely paid off with tangible returns and I expect that the same opportunities will also arise at the next edition, probably with even greater opportunities of identifying new niches which can be explored».
Antonio Marcegaglia, CEO of the Marcegaglia Group, is convinced that «Made in Steel has become an unavoidable appointment». On one hand, it is a steadily growing showcase of Italian and European producers, and on the other hand it is a unique occasion for discussion and debate for those operating in the steel sector thanks to the rich conference program which has always characterized the Conference & Exhibition. This is the reason why, concludes Antonio Marcegalia, «we have decided to re-confirm our presence at the next edition of Made in Steel and to make our come back in an extraordinary way».
According to Giuseppe Mercurelli, CEO of Aso Siderurgica, «Made in Steel is a very important window and it is an appointment impossible to miss. The recent years philosophy of Aso has been focused on internationalization, so the Conference & Exhibition, thanks to its strategy, fits perfectly with our choices». Moreover, Mercurelli states that «Made in Steel is not only a showcase to get known by the domestic and the foreign market, but also an opportunity to get in touch with other companies and organizations, for example to meet potential customers, and also to discover the latest novelties of the competitors, especially the foreigner ones».
Giuseppe Pasini, President of the Feralpi Group, has announced the confirmation of the Group at Made in Steel, which he considers to be «a beautiful showcase». He also states that «Italy is our country and the place where we produce. The event was launched for the first time in Brescia and has spread out to Milan where it has gradually assumed an even more international character, therefore it is right for us to be there». Not only with their “consolidated” assets, but also with their new initiatives: in fact Feralpi Group has reserved a stand for Caleotto Spa, a company created last year by the joint-venture Duferco-Feralpi after the acquisition of the historic rolling mill based in Lecco, that was previously owned by the Lucchini Group and before the acquisition was in extraordinary administration. «It seems obvious for us – declares Pasini – that the Feralpi Group should be present at Made in Steel even with our new ongoing initiatives».
Alfonso Pastore, General Manager of Trailer Spa, a leading Brescia based road transport company with years of experience in the transport of iron and steel, has participated at nearly every edition of Made in Steel, except for the very first one. «We have already registered to take part in the next edition which is a very important arena for us. Operating in the steel industry, it is an event that we cannot miss out on». This is a confirmation of the positive results achieved over the years thanks to the participation at the last editions. «Over the last years Made in Steel has been able to consolidate the perception of our company image by our clients – says Alfonso Pastore – and it has enabled us to meet new clients, therefore it is no doubt a positive initiative».
At the end of this first round of opinions and expectations of exhibitors, Luigi Rapullino – CEO of Sideralba Spa – explains their presence at Made in Steel since the very first edition with a strong propensity of the company «for the communication». Even for Rapullino the Conference & Exhibition is a showcase «expected by many: in three days you can meet the entire steel chain, which for us means opportunites to meet customers and suppliers. Without Made in Steel it would take us months to get the same result».
