MADE IN STEEL AWARDS: Seventh edition best exhibitor

The Seventh Edition Made in Steel Awards were granted during the gala dinner of the major industry Conference and Exhibition event in Southern Europe.
The jury, including project Manager Ms. Valentina Tavana, art director Mr Oliviero Baldini, and event engineering department manager Mr Francesco Della Torreha selected the top three exhibiting areas in three different categories, among which the 2017 edition winners were awarded.

Best International Exhibitor

«For a powerful one-colour minimalistic approach where products become the focus of the stage» is the citation for the award recipient in the best international exhibitor category, Baosteel Italia Distribution Center.  The Genova headquartered company, is the Italian subsidiary of a Chinese steel Group. The other category nominees were Duferco Italia Holding from San Zeno Naviglio (Brescia, Italy) and Acciai Speciali Terni, stainless steel producer based in Terni, Italy, and daughter company of ThyssenKrupp.

Most Friendly Exhibitor

Euro Sider Scalo, the Cividate Camuno (Brescia, Italy) headquartered company specialising in special steel and carbon bars, was selected for the Most Friendly Exhibitor category which values exhibitors’ communication efforts and their ability to create an engaging environment for visitors. The jury’s award citation mentions the «exhibitors’s bold design creating two self-contained squares separated by a vertical wall, representing two welcoming urban spaces». The jury’s short list includes Aperam Stainless Steel Service & Solutions from Massalengo (Massalengo, Lodi, Italy) and Gabrielli (Cittadella, Padova, Italy) .

Best Communication Exhibitor

Trade fairs are first and foremost communication events. Padua-based Acciaierie Venete was in fact awarded for their «simple yet highly communicative approach, hinging around the use of a series of monoliths creating a fence “protecting” and enclosing the power of images». Feralpi Siderurgica from Brescia (Italy) and AFV Beltrame from Vicenza (Italy) were among the nominees.
