Organizing an event in a responsibly way means taking care of not only the environment but also the people. In line with Sustainable Development Goal no. 1 – No Poverty, Made in Steel has, for the first time, partnered with Banco Alimentare Lombardia 'Danilo Fossati' ODV, to give new value to surplus food and support those in need.

At the end of the Steel Dinner, the evening event dedicated to exhibitors, we donated the surplus food: 100 containers of first courses, cold cuts, cheeses, and various appetizers, recovered and distributed to people in need thanks to Banco Alimentare’s solidarity network.

The same initiative was activated for all the food outlets within the exhibition area, but in this case, no surplus was left: the catering provider used all the prepared food.

Banco Alimentare Lombardia 'Danilo Fossati' is a non-profit organization supporting individuals and families in need for over 30 years through a network of local charitable organizations.

We are proud of this collaboration and happy to have contributed meaningfully to reducing waste and doing good.
